went to camps bay and fell asleep on the beach, woke up a little bit sunburned but I figure it will turn to tan on the flights home!

got milo ice cream and a buzz pizza mmm, definitely going to miss the amazing value food here

leaving for the airport soon, flying to joburg then overnight to JFK

taking the cable car up table mountain with some wine, cheese, chocolate, and incredible friends

During the first week of Switzerland, Gemma made a list of things she likes about me in my journal.  I like that Gemma thinks I’m funny, and that she lets me make guest appearances on her blog. I love you Gemma :)

today:

start/finish public health compendium, write pithy excursus of case studies

in the next week:

program evaluation, ropes course and retreat at high africa, fly to johannesburg, fly to new york, drive to philadelphia, sleep

after that:

lose fifteen pounds, find my inner apogee and perigee, learn mandarin,

replace stolen blackberry,  secure summer employment

sunset hike up lion’s head

went to trinity last night and saw a DJ called judge jules. definitely a top five night in cape town

currently sitting at haas cafe on rose street, there is no menu and the baristas wear tophats with feathers.. but the coffee is strong and the wifi free

this week we’re wrapping up with classes and prepping for the retreat. flying home in a week! i’m most excited to see family and friends and least excited for the cold
